Top day for Irish Rallying

This day will go down in history when Irish Rallying got a Win and a 3rd place on the podium in a WRC Event.

Dungannon’s Kris Meeke and his Killarney co-driver Paul Nagle have taken victory at Rally Finland, while Waterford’s Craig Breen finished third.

Meeke, racing a reduced schedule for Citroen this season as they develop a new car for next season, won by 29.1 seconds over Jarri-Matti Latvala. (Volkswagen Polo S WRC).

The Abu Dhabi Total World Rally Team driver Breen took third for his first ever WRC podium finish.

Meeke said the win was

“A little bit crazy. This is the home of rally.
I’ve been enjoying it like a kid. It’s exceptional. Great team effort.”
