Maiden City MC will run a special Stage Rally on the date of the Lark in the Park, which has been shelved for a year due to full refurbishment of the St. Columb’s Park stage.
On 25th April, the Club will run the An Grianan Stage, with special permission from Donegal Motor Club and Motorsport Ireland.
The An Grianan Stage will be run 3 times, each stage approximately 10 miles in length.
Club Chairman and Event Director, Gerry O’Doherty announced details today, following weeks negotiation between the Maiden City Club, Donegal Motor Club, Motorsport Ireland and the Motor Sports Association in London.
“We are pleased to have been able to get this event under way, using the DMC An Grainan stage, which has been extended considerably in length from last year. Everyone was disappointed about losing St. Columb’s Park, and Derry City Council were at the fore in trying to accommodate us at a different date, but the NI Motorsport calendar is busy and there was not an alternative date. We are pleased to have got this stage again from Donegal and MI.”
Regulations and Entry Form have been published and are available to download on www.maidencitymotorclub.com
Clerk of the Course for the event has been announced as Declan McCay.
